Yesterday evening I watched yet another amazing talk in TED.com that I really would like to share with you.

Last month, Melinda Gates, co-founder of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, spoke at TEDxChange (which had been organized in cooperation with her foundation). She spoke about what NGOs can learn from Coca-Cola as the probably most international company.

I would like to share this talk with you, because it stroke me as so unideological, open-minded, universal for any cause and thus applicable to ChildFinance.

I can highly encourage you to take some ten minutes during your lunch-brake or in the evening to watch the talk, but let me just list the three major aspects Melinda Gates considers crucial lessons for NGOs:

  1. Take real-time data and immediately feed it back into operations
  2. Tap into local entrepreneurial talent
  3. Do incredible marketing

Listening to Melinda Gates talk will really provide you with inspiration that you can easily relate to your own operations!
